CLIMATE CHANGE LEVY

CCL is the short term for Climate Change Levy. CCL is a government enforced tax and has been in effect since April 2001. All energy suppliers are required to collect CCL from their customers. More detail on CCL is available here.

From April 2009 CCL will be charged at a rate of 0.470p/kWh.

Gazprom M&T Retail calculates CCL automatically, and you will see the CCL as a separate item, detailed on your energy bills.

Your company may be exempt from paying CCL. It is your responsibility to establish this. If this is indeed the case you will need to complete two certificates the PP10 and PP11.
