APPLYING FOR A DISCOUNT
If your company secures an EIU (Energy Intensive User) discount or has an exempt use of energy, you are required to complete a CCL certificate detailing the amount of your exemption or eligible discount. You can print off a copy of a Climate Change Levy Supplier Certificate (PP11) and return it to Gazprom M&T Retail or you can contact us by telephone and we will send you a copy of the certificate. The form PP10 showing the breakdown of how percentage reduction is calculated should be sent to Customs and Excise.
The only way Gazprom M&T Retail can apply for exemptions or discounts is upon receipt of your completed certificate, wthout which we must apply the full levy to your energy usage. Without a valid supplier certificate, Gazprom M&T Retail cannot apply a relief, and there is no retrospection. The relief may only apply to bills after the supplier has processed the certificate, which is five working days after receipt of your completed certificate.
To complete the form you will need to know:
- The address of the qualifying premises
- VAT registration number if applicable
- Customer reference and supply number
- The percentage of exemption you are entitled to
